Single Move

With the single move option, you are able to move an item to another location with IntelliTrack Mobile.

Note: The entries on forms throughout the application may be scanned or keyed. When a drop-down field is available, an entry may be also selected from a drop-down list.

Note: Inventory Preference settings facilitate the single item move process by setting a default quantity and by defaulting to the last location at the Source and Destination tabs during a single item move session; see "User Preferences".

Note: In order to perform a single item move, the role of the logged-in user must include the Inventory Single Move feature.

  1. From the Main form, select the Move option. The form example below shows the Move options when the role of the logged-in user also contains the asset single move and asset mass move features.

  1. Select the Move button > Single Move option from the Main form. If you have the Assets features, select the Move button > Consumables > Single Move from the Main form. The Single Move - Consumables form appears. The form contains three tabs: Source, Details, and Destination. The Source tab is to the front.
  2. Source Tab (Default UOM): When the default division uses a default unit of measure, enter the current location information about the item that you are moving: Site, Location, Item# (entering the alternate item number will also display the item number) , and Qty, in the respective fields. If the item number contains a description, the item description will be displayed underneath the Item# field.
  1. Source Tab (Multiple UOM): If the default division uses multiple units of measure, a UOM field is also displayed and you must enter a unit of measure for the item being moved in this field in addition to the Site-Location-Item #. If the item number contains a description, the item description will be displayed underneath the Item# field.

  1. Details tab:  the Serial # field, Lot field, Expiration Date or RFID Tag Number fields appear if the item being moved requires any of this information. Enter, as applicable, the Serial #s, Lot, Expiration Date or RFID Tag Numbers for the item being moved in the respective fields. The example below shows the Details tab for an item that requires a serial number. (For more information about entering the serial numbers for a serialized item, see "Serialized Items".)

  1. At the Destination tab, enter the destination location information for the item being moved. The item must be moved to a valid Site and Location in the system and the destination must be different from the source location in order for the item move to process.

  1. Select the Save icon Save icon to move the item. (To cancel this move, select the Cancel icon Cancel icon.)
  2. The information is processed by the system. If the location, item, and inventory information validate, the move is processed. You are returned to the Source tab; the information is cleared (if your system is set to default to the last location, the Location field automatically contains the last location entered in both the Source tab and the Destination tab), indicating the move was successful. The system is ready to process another move.
  3. If you are finished moving items, select the Cancel icon Cancel icon to close the Single Move form and return to the Main form.
  4. IntelliTrack Mobile RF: the item location is immediately updated in the main database.
  5. IntelliTrack Mobile Batch: the item location is placed in the upload table and will be integrated into the main database after the data is uploaded to the workstation-computer and processed into the main database.
